Better time management

Hello Friends,

A little while ago I posted about how I was experiencing mission creep at work, and how I was going to try to stop this happening by going in a bit later.  I’ve made some more adjustments to my schedule and I thought you would like to hear how I’m getting on.

I’ve actually started getting up earlier, between 6 and 6.15am and I go downstairs to the kitchen and do my violin practise for up to an hour.  I’m really a morning person – I concentrate much better then and I’m finding that I’m making much quicker progress.

By leaving for work a bit later, I have time to fit in a few chores.  I can run round the garden and check everything is ok.  I can do the things that are important to me at the time of day that I’m at my best.

In the evening I do the things that don’t require quite so much energy or brainpower and I’m usually in bed by 10.45pm.  I’m finding that I’m managing to fit more in by working with my energy rather than against it.

  1. I wish I was a morning person but I do struggle to get out of bed each morning!

    I am much more of a night owl.
