I just realised this evening that my little blog has been running for a year. It’s been an interesting and eventful time – I didn’t know when I started whether I could write posts reasonably regularly. I found it really scary to put my thoughts out there in public at first but it has got easier. It has been an absolute bonus that people have been reading and commenting, and I have to say thank you to everyone who visits and comments – it is lovely to know that other people out there think the same way I do.
My life has got richer – I’ve finally got round to growing my own veggies inspired by friends on Frugal Hill and fellow bloggers. I cook more, I practice the violin obsessively, I’ve plucked up the courage to join an orchestra and I’ve seen our eldest daughter head to Russia. This latter event has made me think about travelling and I’m starting to think that this might be the time to push myself further out of my comfort zone. After all, we only walk this way once, so we might as well make the most of it.
The focus of my life is gradually changing – I put the important stuff like friends, family and the things I love to do first (even if I have to get up at 6am to practise the violin before I go to work!), My next big goal is to escape from the rat race – there’s a bit of a way to go, but I’m determined to get there.
Thank you for reading, I hope you will continue to share my journey.
Until next time, Tawney x
