Our car is not the most economical, but there are times when it really comes into its own. Today as it was raining OH spent an hour clearing clutter out of the garage. He loaded it all up ready to go to the household waste recycling centre. When I went up to the car the boot was full – and we had put the back seat down.
We took old cans of paint, the broken bits from the little greenhouse which blew away in the spring, an old camp chair, a pile of redundant bike bits, cardboard, a couple of broken plastic crates, bits of old foam and rags and the
It seems that much more effort is being made than a few years ago to recycle stuff. There were bins for rags, plastic, cardboard, metal, plasterboard, small electrical appliances, everything you can think of. The people there were really helpful.
We’ve got a long way to go with clearing all the stuff, but we made a good start this afternoon. It’s going to be a little and often from now on.
